[She blinks and nods, then steps back to let him in.]
You did come all this way, so feel free to come in and defrost. We do have some food -- well, truthfully, Ástron creates it, and I generally allow it to do as it likes...
[Yuuto looks around for this spirit, simultaneously checking his pockets for any spare Starling that he can offer it. Well, now he can’t help but look at her room! Is this okay? It’s a girl’s room, after all… Chron would break him in half if he peeked in her room.]
I won’t need to bother you both for any food. I don’t plan to be a burden. It’s just that, um… I got you something. Well. Made. Something.
[The apartment's pretty small, just a hallway, a kitchen, a living room (well, it's probably a living room, but she doesn't have a TV or a couch and there's a rack of throwing axes on one of the walls), and a door ajar to her actual bedroom. That looks about the same as the rest: a small bed in the corner, a closet full of clothes, a dresser probably left behind by the previous occupant given it doesn't match any of the other furniture. Something that tried to be spartan, but is now gathering a book here, a marble in a dish there.
Ástron, though, is easy to find; a red-and-white star creature floats over from the kitchen and sparkles at Yuuto.]
A friend? A friend made things? I can make things too!
[It shines and proudly produces from nowhere a squid corn dog like they sell at one of the stands at Wonderment, hovering for Yuuto to take.]
It's far from a burden. Ástron seems to like doing it. Aside from that, you were kind enough to make something... may I open it?
You’re so talented… [He offers a piece of Starling as a trade with one hand, while the other holds out the gift bag. It’s a bit heavy.]
If that’s alright, then please. I’d like to know that everything fits.
[Since he didn’t just get her a scarf, though it is the first thing in the bag: It’s made with white wool that has a few golden threads woven in, so that it has a subtle sparkle. The heavier part is a pair of soft boots.]
Since you may have to be here for a while, um… I wanted to let you know that you’re loved. I’m sorry that you don’t want to be here, but um. I’m happy we met too.
[Ástron just kind of absorbs the Starling with a happy noise. Kokoro takes the gift bag and opens it up, and just... stares, taking in Yuuto's gift and statement. She sets them down and puts the scarf on. It feels strange, wearing a new one instead of the one she's always in no matter the weather, but it's not... bad, either.]
...you have my thanks. I should not have burdened you with my worries. Not when being trapped here is a benefit to you... perhaps the best thing that's happened to you, from what you said to me. But the people here... I do care. For all of you and your well-being. Some I've become more attached to than I should, and I know I need to find a way to escape and set the other Fallen Stars free... but for you, Starsand City is freedom. Isn't it?
[Kokoro is so thoughtful. So much so that it’s almost painful. He’s always been so scared of revealing his true feelings to others, because Yuuto thought they would lead to him being hated. Especially in the case of someone like Kokoro, whose wants were in opposition to his.
But she understands him instead of hating him.
He feels awful for ever thinking she would react with cruelty.]
It is… But I get it now, too. Before this world, I didn’t understand what it meant to have a home and lose it. You must be suffering a lot.
I can’t take that pain away, but I hope this can help. If nothing else, you need to stay warm while you’re here.
...It's kind of you. [She sighs and leads him into the living room with his corn dog. There's no couch, just two chairs -- she doesn't have friends over often.] You think a lot about those around you, do you not? I didn't even realize, but... thank you, for considering me enough of a friend for this. Even despite our interests and needs being at odds.

Yuuto shakes his head, trying to focus.
Knew..?
He looks down at the bag. Secret birthdays are on his mind thanks to Inaba, so it clicks-
Oh.]
Kokoro-san… No, sorry. I just wanted to give you a gift. Is that okay..?
